Sometimes I need a little (or a lot) of help when choosing color palettes for projects. I get inspired by nature, an outfit or a photo and want to grab the colors out and mix them together, but can’t always seem to get it just right. Enter Adobe Kuler.
This amazing application is user friendly and allows you to browse color palettes made by others, create your own by endlessly tweaking color selections or by uploading a photo to grab the color elements you want to create a palette.
You can use Kuler for inspiration for graphic design, color schemes for a room, paint colors, craft ideas, photography, and so much more.
To use Kuler you can go directly to their site. If you have the Adobe Creative Suite, you can download Switchboard from Adobe Labs and export a color scheme straight into Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
They also have an app for Android users and are developing one for the iPhone/iPad.
Head on over to Kuler and start having some fun!
