Can’t paint your walls? Check out Rachel’s simple wall art!

The hilariously talented Rachel Rosenthal of Bridesmaiding.com has shared with us her secrets on how to create simple wall art!

Supplies
Picture Frames (Can buy cheap at thrift store, Target, etc.)
Scissors
Pencil
Pretty Paper (I got mine at Paper Source)
I have white walls and I’m not allowed to paint. It’s been driving me crazy so I have been searching around for the brightest colors I can find to put on pillows, wall hangings, bedspreads etc!
Today, I bought some beautiful paper from Paper Source and created new wall art. I already had the frames - I got them years ago at Urban Outfitters. I believe they were meant to be for framed record album covers – but I really liked the square shape and purchased them specifically to make wall art!
Here is how to do it:
1. Take off the back of the frame and use it to size/measure your paper.
2. Flip your pretty piece of paper over so the dull side is facing up. (This way, no pencil lines will show later on.) Place the cardboard frame backing on top of the paper and trace around the edges with the pencil.
3. Cut the paper out along the lines.
4. Put it in the frame and up onto the wall!
I have used these same 4 frames at 4 different apartments over the years. Whenever I change design/color schemes, I just swap out the frames with new paper! Voila. Easy and pretty! Enjoy.

Love the album frame idea. I have at least half a dozen of those that aren’t doing anything at the moment. It could also be done with fabric if one were to find some they loved and/or wanted to match wall hangings to pillows they had created.
